Montebaco produce high-quality aging wines, wines in which the aging in oak barrels is an essential stage, assembling fruit and wood in an admirable way. The philosophy of Montebaco is inspired by respect for the environment and letting the wines express where their true terroir. The Monte Alto farm sits on lands of the two municipalities with the highest resonance of the D.O. Ribera Del Duero: Valbuena de Duero and Pesquera de Duero.

Selección Especial uses specially selected grapes from the best vines and is aged in new French oak for 14 months. Its cherry red in colour with violet hues and aromas of vanilla, plum jam and red fruit. On the palate the wine has smooth silky tannins, red cherry and berry flavours with a hint of fresh tobacco and dark chocolate.
