Veramonte Chardonnay Organico Reserva - Chile
BRIGHT • LUSCIOUS • SMOOTH
Fresh and expressive aromas of pear, quince and lemon curd, interwoven with toasty oak notes. Vibrant purity of the fruit with beautiful texture and good depth lead to a long memorable finish.
Planted 30 kilometers east of the Pacific Ocean, our vineyards are influenced by cool morning fog and gentle sea breezes. A Chardonnay with lively aromas of pear, custard apple and melon. Creamy yet fresh, this wine is a perfect partner for a Greek salad or Parmesan razor clams on the coast.
Grapes are harvested at first light and whole clusted pressed in order to obtain the structure provided by the stems. The juice sits for 24 hours and is then racked off. Part of the wine is barrel fermented in neutral oak with wild yeasts, and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Thirty percent of the wine undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation, enhancing the Chardonnay ́s softness and creaminess without losing the freshness.
Veramonte follows organic practices in all their estates to ensure the best conditions for the development of the vine, thus achieving vineyards that are sustainable in time. Through Cultivating healthy, living soils and maintaining a natural balance in their vineyards and Winemaking process, they obtain quality grapes that express the full potential of the terroir, leading to wines with character, authentic and expressive.
The organic vineyards are located in two of Chile's most recognized appelations; Casablanca, perfect for white wines and cold weather; and, Colchagua for the reds. Veramonte follows organic and sustainable practices because they believe it is the only way to have healthy and expressive vineyards that transcend time and deliver pure fruit and wines that reflect the living soils from which they come.
