Fat bastard Rosé is a blend of Shiraz and Grenache. These grapes were carefully selected to attain a fruit-forward, full-bodied blend that is fresh and lively. The wine is intense pink with purple-blue hues, and the nose is complex and expressive with intense raspberry and strawberry notes. Round and full on the palate with ripe red fruits and a long, fresh finish.
Enjoy as an aperitif, with BBQ, fresh summer salads, spicy and fried food, or simply pair with soft cheeses.
A soft fruity red with ripe berry fruit and gentle spicy flavors. The spicy Shiraz is lightened by the leafy blackcurrant Cabernet Sauvignon, integrated and enriched by the judicious use of oak.

This full-bodied wine shows freshly crushed black pepper aromas with hints of cinnamon and cloves on the nose with lots of brambly red berry fruit, rich mulberry and well integrated vanilla tones.

The grapes for this blend were chosen from several premium Barossa vineyards right across the region. Parcels of fruit from each vineyard were kept separate in small parcels and blended just prior to bottling. The vineyards range in age with the oldest being 40 years. The cropping ability of these mature age vines is limited by the terroir and the natural annual growth pattern of the vines.

Like most wine regions, the grapes express themselves very differently depending on where they are grown. Barossa for instance provides great intensity and blockbusting dark plum fruits, Langhorne creek a slightly cooler, leafier character with brighter acidity is evident. The Riverlands gives seamless palate weight and limestone coast a certain minerality.
The integration of oak results in subtle vanilla and spice with the wine showing youthful, grippy tannins that will develop in the bottle for the years to come.
The wine is purple and red in colour with crimson red hues. The nose has aromas of plum and dark cherry with notes of white pepper and spice. The palate has sweet plum and jammy fruits with lingering vanilla and cedar spice. The wines is medium bodied with a soft tannin finish.
