Unsure which wine to order with your food, we’re hear to help...

Pinot Noir-This wine is great for dishes with earthy flavors. Recipes made with ingredients like mushrooms and truffles taste great with Pinot Noir. This is due to its light body, full of savory depth. For example a mixed wild mushroom pasta dish, topped with black truffles.

Try our Esk Valley Pinot Noir. This beautiful wine is elegant and complex. It exhibits flavours of red fruit plum, cherry and currants with notes of clove and spice and a subtle oak influence. Available online for €15.75.

Chardonnay-A wine that compliments fatty fish, or fish in a rice sauce. This is especially delicious with fish like salmon or any seafood in a lush sauce. It also complimets raw and lightly cooked selfish such as crabs and prawns.

Faiveley Chablis is a wine subtle on the nose, with mineral notes and citrus fruits. The attack on the palate is fresh and bold. It has a good feel in the mouth, with a long and persistent finish. Available for only €21.00.

Cabernet Sauvignon-A fan of juicy red meat? This wine is for you. California Cabernet, Bordeaux and Bordeaux sytle blends are terrific with steaks and chops such as lamb chops with frizzled herbs. The firm tannins in these wines refresh the palate after each bite of meat.

Our McGuigan Founders Series Cabernet Sauvignon shows a rich blackcurrant and dark berry character complemented by distinctive ecalypt and earthy notes on the finish. Maturation in oak gives savoury characters and smooth tannins. Available for €19.95.

Pinot Grigio-This wine pairs well with light seafood dishes, a creamy smoked salmon pasta, spaghetti carbonara and chicken dishes such as lemon chicken piccata. The Pinot Grigio takes on more flavour with such dishes.

McManis Pinot Grigio is a nose full of citrus. Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit are all present. The wine is crisp but it also has a weight to it. It’s yours for only €17.50.

Syrah-For those who have a spicy tongue, this wine is for you. When a meat is heavily seasoned-like cumin-spiced burgers, look for a red wine with lots of spicy notes. You can also enjoy this wine with a Chili dish also. Don’t worry though, if you have a more sensitive mouth, you can still enjoy Syrah with a ribeye steak or a lamb chop.

Vidal Reserve Gimblett Gravels Syrah Hawkes Bay is a deep coloured wine which expresses aromas of dark red fruits, black pepper, spice and florals. On the rich, well balanced palate, there is powerful fruit intensity, ample depth of flavour and length with a delightful warm vanilla edge. This is available for only €17.35.
