John Legend-The singer released a brand new wine line named “Legend Vineyard Exclusive” in 2015. He stated that this was “a long dream in the making”. Legend collaborated with Napa Valley winery Raymond Vineyards, which belongs to the Boisset Collection. This is a family owned company with wineries in Napa and France. His line includes a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2014 Chardonnay. LVE has recieved some impressive reviews, including the Cabernet Sauvingon earning 91 points from Wine Enthusiast, and 93 points from Wine Spectator. It seems Mr.Legend isn’t just a strong voice.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie- The pair, albeit when they were still married, teamed up with renowned Rhone Valley vintners, the Famille Perrin, to produce serious, terrior-driven wines that racked up several awards. These wines include the 2016 Miraval Blanc Coteaux Varois, the 2017 Miraval Rose Cotes De Provence and finally the 2014 Miraval Blanc Cotes De Provence. The Rose has recieved the most praise, ranking 84th on Wine Spectator’s list of the top 100 wines of 2013-the only rose to make the list.
Sting-The rock legend and his wife, Trudie Styler, produce Tuscan wines that are sold in the U.S. through Maritme Trading Collective,a boutique wine importer. Some of their wines are coined after some of the artists most famous songs. These include Message In a Bottle, When We Dance and We’ll be Together. These vary from Red, White and Rose.
Drew Barrymore-The actress has her own line of wine, Barrymore wines. Collaborating with Carmel Roads, this brings together two family owned companies with deep roots in California. The actress has a 2017 Monterey Rose of Pinot Noir, a 2016 Monterey Pinot Grigio and a 2014 Drew’s Blend Pinot Noir. For Barrymore, the allure of the journey and the chance to create an offering to share with her family and friends propelled her to delve into a world of wine.
